Everyone is busy making lists these days. I decided to create a list of Ten Most Amazing Places To Visit In Sydney. There are many thrilling sight-seeing spots for visitors here in Sydney. There are cool hotels, pubs, places of historic interest, eateries and also sanctuaries.
Sydney Opera House
The first and foremost place worth visiting is the Sydney Opera House. It is the most legendary and distinguished historical attraction. In fact, it has been conferred the title of a heritage site. It can be even included amongst one of the greatest and finest places worth visiting. It offers world famous movie houses, ballets in Sydney.
Sydney Tower
People are always fascinated when they see tall, huge architecture. Sydney Tower is one such marvel. It stands 1000 plus feet tall. This spot has a very big restaurant which boasts of 2 level pubs and hotels. About 1000+ people can be accommodated at one time. There is also a very extensive skywalk which lets you have a beautiful overview of the entire city of Sydney. Once could enjoy the entire beauty and charm of Sydney from this skywalk.

Third in my list is St. James Church. It was conceived and planned by the famous Francis Greenway and established in 1824. The city’s holy and spiritual activities take place in this church. It also conducts many community and civic activities. It is open on all 7 days of the week. There is no fee to enter this church. Visitor can enjoy this ancient heritage free of cost.
The Rocks
This is one of the most ancient places in the city. It boasts of very old historical monuments, hotels built in the good olden days. It is filled with antique structures and designs, interesting places, excellent eateries, bars, shopping outlets and malls. It is very close to the Circular Quay station.
Darling Harbor
This attractive port is within the vicinity of Sydney’s CBD. This port or dock also has very good hotels, beautiful parks like the Chinese Garden of Friendship, very near to Sydney’s CBD, this beautiful harbor has outdoor eateries, the Chinese Garden of Friendship and also the very famous wildlife sanctuary. Sydney has very good means of communication like the bus, train and the monorail.
Chinatown
This is the busiest area in Sydney. It is situated very close not only to the CBD but also to the Darling Harbour. The aroma of the Chinese food lingers at Dixon Street. It is one such place which has many Chinese hotels. There are also very good hotels and pubs, movie houses and other cool and attractive places to chill out. One just needs to walk few steps to visit George Street, famous for very reasonably priced clothes and garments.

St. Mary’s Cathedral
Built in the year 1821, Sydney’s bishop John Bede Palding resided at this church. After the fire incident in 1865, it was erected once again.
Victoria Barracks
This military garrison is let open for public viewing. It is one of the most ancient garrisons in Australia. It is open for public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and there is free entry to this place. One thing to be noted is that it is closed during Christmas time.
Bondi Beach
Last but not the least; one can visit Bondi Beach while in Sydney. It is just few kms away from Sydney city. People can relax here and surf in summer.
