Tourist Interest At Big City Malls

Big cities have a lot to offer for the urban visitor as the infrastructure in terms of the malls, shopping complexes and other such popular hangout places of tourist interest is pretty similar. However, tourists would still like to visit them and pick up stuff mainly due to the fact that they want to take home something that is of local flavour and also due to the fact that having come so far, they do not want to go home empty handed. Many would also want to pick up something unique that can be found only at these shopping places in foreign cities and Sydney is no exception when it comes to superb shopping infrastructure and malls that are a veritable treat for the visitor.

One such mall is the centre point which has the distinction of having been one of the first to have been built way back in the year 1972 and had more than 50 shops. After Westfield acquired Centre point in the year 2001, the mall gained more prominence due to the fact that it had the backing of one of the biggest retail groups known all over UK, New Zealand and Australia and also because of its very central location in the heart of the city. The mall had several quick changes done to it by the group and a huge shopping cum commercial complex comprising of offices came up. This structure that combines Centre point, Imperial Arcade and Sky garden remains one of the best known complexes in Sydney.

The mall has many levels and as a visitor you are sure to find a lot of things you can pick up with all major retailers such as Levis, Gucci and many other famous brands of electronics, pharmacies, beauty shops, and fast food already established and doing good business at this place. That is the good thing about the place. You can shop to your heart’s content and take a refreshing break at one of the fast food joints sipping coffee and partaking of some hot snacks.

The next one on your list should be the Warringah mall which is the biggest open air centre for shopping and despite its early opening way back in the year 1963, has not expanded much with only about 53 stores functional. However, it is a place that is worth visiting mainly for some of the speciality stores of Target, the cinema complex of Hoyts, the various food courts and other famous names like Grace Bros, Rebel Sport all existing under one roof.

There are nice courtyards and walkways you can enjoy while you are there and this place will give you a flavour of how the northern beaches of Sydney feel. The aura of this mall is something unique and that is why this is a must visit.
